Photographing people and events for the media and creative professions.

Stan specialises in photographing people and events, look in his Gallery, people bring life, capture the moment.

Whether it is for press distribution, magazine work, marketing, documentation or folio work, Stan has the experience and the technology to capture the right image.

Stan is well versed in the public and service sector industries having worked for Social Services for some years and taken assignments with Government, local government, and advocacy groups relating to services and cultural activities.

Also, since 1999 Stan has taken portrait shots of actors and politicians for their marketing and PR work. Many North East actors have his work in Spotlight, the casting directory.

Although most assignments come from the North East England region, he will work anywhere, almost. The furthest flung commission was three weeks work in Mozambique where he photographed sustainable development projects for ETC UK, an environmental consultancy assisting the Mozambique government. Some say he has completely recovered from a dose of Zimbabwean Malaria.

In the past Stan has been:

  • a community artist, when the definition of community arts meant enabling groups and individuals to define their own political and cultural expression
  • visiting lecturer in photography to BA students of Fine Art
  • has taken a six months residency in photography in Gateshead
  • had exhibitions of personal and commissioned work throughout the North East

His biggest client was the Durham Miners Association until the union lost its pits around 1992. Since then he has worked for amongst others
